Wilton and the band had such a wonderful time entertaining Amanda + Canon and their family and friends at the Magnolia Gardens Carriage House this past Saturday, December 4, 2021!
The event planning was handled by Monique and Ruth with Yoj! Events, a Semper Signature Co. and the groom’s mother, Tracy! Together they all executed a perfect party at a gorgeous, torch-lit location right along the historic Ashley River.
The weather was very pleasant last weekend (for December ;), and the band was set up underneath a tent with heaters on the patio on the backside of the Carriage House.
Guitarist Lee Barbour entertained guests with his amazing mix of instrumentals and jazz tunes as they arrived at the venue for Cocktail Hour, and the Super Deluxe reception band kicked off the party with the First Dances, playing “Stand by Me”, “Forever Young”, and “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You”.
After some light dinner music, the guests were ready to dance, and Super Deluxe was ready to turn up the volume and the tempo! Wilton and the band launched into a power-packed dance set that included many crowd favorites and special requests from the lovely couple!
After a last song with the whole group (“Can’t Stop The Feeling”), we closed out the night with an intimate dance, just for Amanda + Canon. Amanda thought we were going to play a reprise version of “Stand by Me” as their send-off song, but Canon wanted to surprise his new bride with a special Needtobreathe song to close out their special night!
‘Twas a very special occassion all the way around, and Wilton and the band are grateful for the chance to close out our 13th year as a band at an historic property on the Ashley in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina!
We will see you all on the dance floor in 2022!
